What I Stand For

As a social worker, I am bound to & stand for the social work Code of Ethics.

This means I value service, social justice, dignity & worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, competence, and integrity. I have an ethical responsibility not just to my clients, colleagues, and society— but to myself. I will fight for these values today and always, even as fascism rises in the United States.

As a social worker, advocate, and member of the human race, I stand for the following beliefs:

  • Climate Change is real

    • Capitalism is destroying our planet.

  • Free Palestine

    • All genocide is evil.

  • All Billionaires are Unethical.

    • Free Luigi

  • Housing is a Human Right

  • Education is a human right.

  • Healthcare is a Human Right

    • No Justice, No Peace

  • All Cops are Bastards (ACAB).

    • “Laws are threats made by the dominant socioeconomic-ethnic group in a given nation. It’s just the promise of violence that’s enacted and the police are basically an occupying army. You know what I mean?” - Brennan Lee Mulligan

  • The USA needs Prison Reform

    • Private prisons are unethical.

  • Religious freedom
